I took mine to the shop and it was diagnosed as a broken trans mount. I
will tell you if that fixes the problem when I get back in town in a couple
of weeks. should cost about $130 installed at local audi wrench

Subject: Right-Turn Noise?
Anyone have any insight as to a recent noise - more of minor vibration/groan
noticeable in the pedals/floor - while turning to the right? Not really
audible, but definitely there. No indications of bearing issues - though
have not explored in detail. No noises/symptoms when going straight or
turning left. Noise/feel is evident at even the slightest steering input to
the right. Is this indicative of imminent rack failure? Never lost one so
I'm unfamiliar. No leaks/puddles. Fluid levels normal, etc.. I realize
it's very difficult to diagnose such things w/ only a verbal description,
but
thought it might be a somewhat common issue. TIA
