SSR Competitions. They now offer them in a silver
finish for the less flamboyant of us. They're
featherlight wheels, I originally picked up an 18 and
was expecting the wheel to be much heavier, so I
almost slipped and fell flat on my Calabrian ass.
Wheel bending rumors be damned, a buddy of mine has
had them for 8 months on NY roads with nary a bend or
balancing issue. I guess the rumors of bending were
only applicable to early production runs.
Yes, I do know that no matter what, sometimes you're
gonna bend a wheel (I bent 4 on Hylan), but the
unsprung weight difference is noticeable on the comp.
Just my 2 cents, but I'm sure one of you nitpickers
will find a flaw somewhere in this post.
