Instrument Lighting gone Crazy

Mine exhibited the exact same symptoms and the solution listed below
fixed it. Unfortunately, I wasn't hooked up to the list then and had to
diagnose it on my own. Instead of using a jumper, I simply re-soldered
the connection. Still working after 30K but jumper is a better fix...
