It won't fit correctly. The US plates are AFAIK 15x30 cm, that will be
too tall to fit in the euro rear center section..

We had problems here in Europe with US cars, because the regular
european plates don't fit, and the narrow european style was actually
too tall. Most countries have 15x30 plates too, in addition to the
wide, low regular plates..
