There are TWO drains in the area of the evaporator box, a largish rubber
grommet with a short tail that folds in on itself (mousegate?) at the
bottom that drains the entire area covered by your rain diverter, and a
much smaller tube that drains the evaporator box itself. The larger one is
visible between the heater core and evaporator boxes toward the front of
that area (just behind the firewall) and empties out on the top of the
tranny. It's the one that gets plugged with twigs, leaves, acorns, mouse
nests, etc.
The little one (that reportedly can be cleared with string trimmer string)
runs from the bottom of the evaporator box and hangs a bit to the passenger
side of the top of the tranny.
