    I do not have the time to make every repair or upgrade to my 20v 200 or my
wifes  99 A6.  I am very fortunate to have a good realtionship with an audi
enthusiast/specialist who is honest and reasonable in price. When I do have
the time to do repairs myself he always has the parts on hand and ships them
to me promptly at a fair price (just shipped me new rotors and pads for the A6
 last week). He also gives good advice on upgrades etc. For example he alerted
me about one of his customers who wanted to get rid of a  3" turboback
scorpion exhaust system with about 15,000 because his wife thought it was too
loud. The customer was happy to trade it even for the original system on my
20v 200 with 177,000 miles on it. I paid the mechanic $175 to switch the 2
systems! If I need a part I want him to make the profit and hopefully he'll
keep me in mind if he knows of any deals like that in the future. Why fart
around with some automated phone system or email crap to save a few bucks when
you can deal with an actual voice or friendly face and get the right parts
(new or used) quickly!
