DIY alignment

I just had new shocks, control arms, bushings, and tie rods installed.  My
mechanic is not set up to do alignments so I figured I would do it my self
according to the directions posted by Bernie.  Seems pretty straight
foreward ( I also have Bently Manual).  The issue is that when I got the car
back the steering wheel is not centered (when the steering wheel is in the
straight ahead position the car is turning).
Should I put the wheel straight ahead and perform the alignment?  Is this
the correct way to solve this issue?.
