UFO conversion options/liability?

If you were involved in an accident and were found to be at least
partially at fault and your brakes were determined to be a contributing
factor, then the fact that you are running non-street certified brakes
(if you're running Wilwoods) would count against you in a big way
were there to be litigation afterwards.

Running a better-than-stock and made-for-street-use setup would involve
some sort of documentation asserting that your brakes are better than
stock and thus not a contributing factor to the accident and then
liability
would be also extended to the brake manufacturer/vendor should the other
party decide to sue you.

That's a lot of what-ifs.

Subject: RE: UFO conversion options/liability?

I couldn't help following this thread...it seems to have come up again
after being absent for a few months. Having pondered this myself, I
wondered what would happen if I was in an accident. In addition, what
would happen, if under investigation, it was determined that I was not
running a stock brake system (even if it is inferior to an aftermarket
setup)?

Has anyone ever thought about this or am I being a bit too concerned?
