Proper oil level is abosolutely NO HIGHER than the top of the grid on
the dipstick. Note the large orange sticker on the t-belt cover
which specifically warns against overfilling.
I typically keep my oil level about half-way on the grid area of the
dipstick. If before a big trip I find its towards the bottom of the
grid, I'll toss in about half a quart and bring it up, but that's
rare.
