If our stupid-a** local dealer had it in stock I'd have bought the
kit and installed it by now. Anyway, I can simply garage the car 'til
the new radiator arrives next week, or limit its use to short hops of
5 miles or less without a problem. Before attaching the hose, I
cleaned and roughened the stub with sandpaper to (hopefully) give the
hose some extra grip. So far I've done one 2-mile round-trip (to buy
a sub for lunch), and the coolant reached normal operating temp. I
carry a gallon of coolant and 5mm socket at the ready.
Ah, the pure adrenaline rush of life on the edge!
