Anyway, after assuming "the position" (head in footwell), remove the
carpeted console side-panel (one screw) on passenger side. Then you
need to remove the several (or more) screws that fasten the plastic
trim panel (and footwell light) located below the glovebox.
Ultimately, you reach the modulator unit, which is tape-wrapped to
the passenger  footwell duct--just about in line (i.e., above) where
the passenger's left toe would be.
