The functions of the MTFS are as follows:

-When the coolant temp exceeds 119C the boost is reduced
-Engine temp gauge
-Engine temp warning light
-Climate control compressor clutch operation

If that's the case why does removing the lead to the MFTS in some cases restore boost (part of diagnosing a bad MFTS)?
