new to me 200q questions

Hi guys,

I picked up a 91 200q a couple of weeks ago, and I have a few issues
that I 
am sorting out.

1.  Can the Pass. side motor mount be r & r'd with the exhaust manifold
and 
turbo still in place?  Looks crowded on that side.

2.  The Board computer doesn't seem to be computing anything related to
fuel 
usage (Instant MPG, Miles to empty, etc.) What is used as a signal to 
compute these values?  Is it the MAF or something else?

THere will be many, many questions to come, but this is as good a place
as 
any to start.
