This past weekend I was pulled over for doing 72. My cruise was set on
65. I didn't get a ticket or anything, which was nice, but I was
surprised to see the speedo that far off. This is in my 91 200tq with
stock wheels/tires on it.

Moral of the story....check your speedo. Using mile markers is a great
way to check it, but as Bernie suggests, do an average over several
miles, as the mile markers aren't always perfect. Some stretches of
interstate have "speedometer checks" on them where the mile markers are
pretty precise.
