oil warning light

I've been getting this symptom for a few months now; just triggers randomly 
every day or three.  Let me know if replacing the sensor fixes it.  I hope 
the problem isn't with the instrument cluster circuit board.

twice in the last week I have had the oil can light up in the display along 
with the pleasent beeping.  ... Could this be a bad sensor?  ...
