I have Yakima Q towers and clips for the sedan, the avant uses clamps
that lock solid onto the longitudinal factory racks, and gutter mounts
that turn out to work at the same width for the urQ, 4Kq and SC.
The crosstubes on the avant sit about 2" above the factory rack. All
of the rigs are using standard 48" tubes and every bike, ski, boat, etc
mount works on any car.
I'm not wrapping my head around Ted's triangular rack description with
wrapped tubes, though...eh? vertical triangles where dah boats lean ??
