Clicking relay

Ed,

Once the seat heats up, the clicking becomes kind of a chatter, at least
once a second, even 2-3 times a second. It definitely sounds like
something is wrong. I also have an 86 5KTQ with heated seats and there
is no chatter at all so I am pretty sure this isn't normal.

It sounds like the clicking you describe begins when the seat heater
reaches the set temp. Is the clicking constant or just occasional. If
the latter, then it may just be the relay maitaining the set temp.

When I turn on the seat heater on the driver's side, after it warms up
(maybe when it reaches normal temp) I can hear a relay clicking on and
off, sounds like it's coming from behind the dash right in front of me.
The seat does warm up. I suspect the heating element is bad - or maybe
the relay itself? Any BTDT?

Thanks
