Nokian tires

Are the Eagles a WINTER tire while the Nokian is a YEAR-ROUND tire?  I'm
very happy with the grip (single digit temps) of my Nokian Q's,  but the
dealer told me not to drive to Florida (or anywhere warm) with them because
"they'll melt".  They're specifically designed for icy conditions and have
at least as good a grip as I remember from the days when we were allowed to
run studs in Michigan.
