Pressure Testing Engine

Hello Listers:

I am going to be pressurizing the engine via the intake hose this weekend to
test for any leaks.  Is it necessary to clamp off the crankcase breather hose?
I thought I read that somewhere.  Why?

Any other things I should keep in mine when doing this (other than not to
exceed 14 psi)?  I  am doing this because I am on the hunt for an elusive air
leak after lots of searching I can't find anything visually.  Thus, this being
the next step.
