Jobe,
You don't HAVE to clamp off the crankcase breather to do the test.  If you're
looking for a boost leak, it'll be obvious pretty quick.  Without clamping
off the breather, you'll simply hear "false" leaks from the oil cap, and the
dipstick.  The dipstick will only hold so much before it blows out.  5-10
carefully regulated psi will identify your leaks very effectively.
