More wierdness...
Got tired of banging the dash to keep the speedometer and odometer working, so I removed the cluster over new years...
And...found that the board was cracked...
lucklily I had a spare board that I had bought off of Joe Mag (20 v lister) a while back.
I replaced all the bulbs and decide to be proactive and solder jumper wires over the suspect area.
Put it all back together and...
only the red light warnings on the autocheck now work (brake, gas, temp, etc) the "yellow" ones (headlight out, washer fluid, OK, etc) are VERY dim....and since I have the stock radio the radio station display work when the lights are on parking (city light) or high beam position)
I tested my initial thought and the yellow light works.
The next obvious is that I ham handed the jumper wire soldering and have a short.
I will be borrowing a IC from either Paul Royal or Chris Miller, but my question is:
Does anyone have any knowledge/guidance in working with the autocheck system?
TIA and Happy new Year!
