Yes indeed it does!

IMHO, it sounds as though you are being taken advantage of, no
"screwed" is really the more appropriate (if less polite) phrase.
Unless, of course, you car was in truly poor overall condition
(before this happened) and/or had extremely high mileage. You might
not want to use this car any longer--that's certainly plausible--but
$800? Isn't there _any_ other Audi-repair  shop nearby who would
could give you an independent opinion?
