Local police is the way go.  I would think that everyone should call; maybe 2 on Tuesday, and one each day after.  Make them aware that there is a significant group...

fellow listers...alot of bandwidth is being taken up w/ this thread w/o
any concrete solution.  i have been down this road before w/ a guy who
did a 'group buy' on a vw list that turned into a 'group rip-off'.  let
me suggest the following:  as someone pointed out,  forget the FBI and
the US Attorneys Office [i was an asst. us atty. in the eastern
district of ny for 6 yrs] because the total amount isn't in the
hundreds of thousands; figure out where the local police department is
and where the local district attorney or state prosecutor's office is;
file a complaint w/ both and follow it up w/ a registered letter w/
copies of all of the postings from the listers that this guy ripped
off...it all adds up to a scheme to defraud, which in ny is a class 'E'
felony;  keep calling for an update on your complaint...the squeeky
wheel gets the grease.  HTH
