camshaft oil seal leak (?)

Over the past few weeks there's been evidence of steady oil leakage
from somewhere in the front end of the engine. I've checked the
alternator adjuster-bracket bolt, but it's tight. Anyway this oil
appears to be coming from much higher up. I think I see evidence that
it comes from someplace above both the crankshaft and the water pump.
It's definitely _not_ leaking significantly from the cam cover
gasket. I'll try to get the TB cover pulled away to have a better
look, but at the moment my best guess is that it's from the
*camshaft* seal.
I'd been planning to do a timing belt replacement sometime during
the next few months (warmer weather preferred)--so this problem would
be addressed in the course of that procedure. But until then---? I
guess some oil-seal additive wouldn't do any harm. Right Bernie?
Any other suggestions welcomed. Oh, the car is the Lago (137K miles,
but only about 55K since the PO had the dealer change the TB). At
about 20K miles the dealer had supposedly replaced the cam chain for
the PO. so I presume that camshaft seal had been replaced then.
