20V tq as first car?

 I'm with Taka on this one. During the 90's here in Montclair, NJ it seemed
every other car in town was what we call a "white engine" Volvo, post 240,
740 cars. We have been repairing Volvos and other Euro marques here for 27
years. About 3 months ago I nearly damaged a customer's 850 Volvo. Jumped in,
turned the key, almost hit the shop wall. The customer had left the car in
gear. Was I not thinking? No. this was the ONLY "white engine" Volvo we had
ever seen that did not have a slushbox.
