Oil Filters

Neil,

Just to give a little perspective to this, Mahle is the company that for 40
years had made the forged pistons for Porsche. Just about the best there
are. That of course doesn't mean that they know anything about making oil
filters but I think it is a good measure of the company as a whole. I
believe as well that both Mahle and Mann are OEM filters here in Europe.

I have used the Mahle filters on my S2 which has the same 3B motor your car
has IIRC. It pumps lots of very hot oil at very high temps and pressure. No
probs.

Rich

I ordered some oil filters from Blau, thought I was ordering Mann filters
but got Mahle's. Any difference? Is the quality equal to the Mann?
I've always used Mann's and want to make sure the Mahles's are OK before I
use them.
TIA
