Radiator choices,modified Modine, Nissens or AKG?

If and when you use the tap to fix those threds. use a bottom tap, The regular tap has a point and by the time the tap starts working on the threads the point will come in contact with the radiator core (be careful!!! )

which should not be the case, of course.  but with an otherwise good new
radiator, wouldn't it make sense to simply chase the threads with a tap
(or a thread chaser) if they seem too tight?
