Brake Res. Screen

Chuck,

For some reason unknown to me, the old screen gets tough to remove. I've had
success using 2 pair of needle nose pliers (one on each side) to compress
the tabs at the top of the screen and then pull it out.


Side note: When I replaced the rack and pump a few months ago I also
replaced the reservoir, which comes with a new screen and cap assembly. The
new screen comes out of my new reservoir VERY easily by hand. Can't figure
out why this changes over time. Maybe distorts from the heat??


Anyone have a damaged/cracked reservoir? I still have my old one and your
welcome to it.

Stupid question:
Without destroying it, how do you pull the screen out of the brake fluid
reservoir?
I am doing a clutch master cylinder R&R and need to pull the excess
fluid out with my handy dandy turkey baster.
