Yours sounds more like the blower motor, Phil.  That has a squirrel cage
fan and the one under the dash has a smaller propeller-blade style of fan,
I think.  The squirrel cage would be a larger weight to put torque on the
motor bearing during a turn.    My aspirator fan motor squeals terribly if
it's really cold out.  Started a couple years ago and stopped after I
sprayed some lube on it by sticking the spray tube well into the aspirator
intake.  Started again late last winter and was not influenced by repeat
lubing.  I figure it'll be something more to worry about this summer.
