Rads and cooling system

When my rad gave out on a trip a few years ago, I went to a radiator repair
specialist. That was all they did.  They looked up the rad in their  book of
rads, and found one identical to the OEM, but in metal, except for the
attachment for the aux rad. No problem they said; when the rad arrived, they
welded on the proper fitting. I now have an all metal rad that is the
equivilent  of the factory unit. BTW, SJM has been getting all my Audi parts
biz recently because he gets it right the first time, has very competitive
pricing, and shares his knowledge. Rod @ TPC has also been good over the
years.
