Hello All,
Anybody have any thoughts on why I'd suddenly see a drop in charging voltage?
Dash gauge indicating slightly less than 12V, analog meter across jump post
- and battery terminals - indicates 13V; where I've previously measured
~14.3V. Belt seems tight. Maybe glazed? Had that condition previously but
was only affected by moisture. This is a constant condition - not moisture
related; despite the heavy rain here in CT Sunday. And the lower voltage is
causing some of my 'idiot' lights to be on: 'Antilock', Battery graphic, and
one other but I cannot remember which... Also, anybody have any good
tricks/tool recommendations for getting to the rear alternator mount/pivot
bolt? Can't seem to get a straight shot at it from above OR below.. TIA,
as usual.
