3B tranny same as MC-2 tranny?

Thanks Henry (and Scott).  And sorry about that ugly typo in my post.

Is the final drive ratio determined by the ring and pinion?  If I were to backdate a 200q20v with a 10v 200 tranny, for repair reasons, I would need the 10v rear diff as well, and this would result in the motor spinning at a higher rpms than normal for a given mph, right?
