selling on the marketplace, as a discussion list?

Can emails be sent to the marketplace in discussion format like the rest of the lists?

I know you can post persisting ads through the web form interface, and the result is a
formatted message to those who are subscribed.  Also, you can look up archived posts of
the emails as well, just like the discussion lists.

Is it possible or desirable to have messages/discussions sent on the marketplace "list"?
