Mystery coolant leak

On my 91 20020v I have been battling a coolant leak for several months.
Initially, the shop found ( I question now) that the water pump was the
source.  I replaced that and the leak was back in a week.  Back to the
shop and they found a hose was not tight.  Now again I am losing coolant
somewhere.  Mostly on longer trips.  There are never any spots in the
garage or parking spaces.  Anyone have any advice or BTDT to find this
mystery leak?
