Fuel pump check valve replacement - hard start

Just a note of thanks.
For several weeks now my car had been taking two or three tries to start.
Finally got around to replacing the check valve this weekend.

Getting the pump out of its holder in the tank was a real pain.
However I knew from a previous post (on this list) that it will come out by
hand without the special tool given enough patience.

The car starts right up now on the first try.
