Bernie,
I disagree about the seal replacement. I my case, I enjoy doing my own rep=
airs, part for the personal satisfaction, but also for the cost savings. I=
try to be proactive in my repairs because I cannot afford to be without my=
car for any period of time. Like most people, my time is at a preimum. W=
hen I spend time doing work on my car, I need to balance "DFI if IAB" with =
the time involved to "GBI if IBS" (Go Back In if It Breaks Soon). The pull=
the front of the car apart is a substantial undertaking involving a sizabl=
e time commitment. Once this project is undertaken, it is foolish not to r=
eplace all failure prone wear items, especially ones as cheap as oil seals.
Joe, do the idler, water pump, all belts and seals. A couple more dollars =
now, but well worth it for the piece of mind.

You may well need a HD impact wrench and socket to remove the crank bolt.

I wouldn't. DFI if IAB!

It falls off when the center bolt is removed.

Keep track of TDC. Loosen the crank and cam bolts before removing the TB
such that you do not loose relative timing between cams and crank.
The R&R is a real jig saw puzzle of trial and error as to what goes on first
and relative tightining order.
A pretty low mileage to be changing a TB, IMO, if WP and idler bearing are
OK.
