PIAA 3000?

Has anyone used the PIAA 3000 lamp system?

It looks like an ideal replacement for the turn signal/
fog lamp issue for those of us with type 44s.

The big downside is cost- they're something like $300+,
but if they can be easily mounted in the bumper where
the turn signal used to be, I'm all for it.

One guy on Audiworld has done this, I've never heard back
from him, so I don't know how much work this entailed.
