When I bought my 200 Avant, I immediately replaced the shocks with Bilstein
HD's. In time I also replaced the sway bar, control arm and subframe
bushings. Handling was okay, but I wished for less sway, less nose up when
the IA 3+ kicks in, and not much increase in harshness. So this weekend I
made a mongrel of my suspension. I put in H&R spec 29800 springs in the
front only, along with Koni sports I had lying around, taken from from my
S4. Kept the rear stock springs and Bils. I forgot to take measurements,
but it lowered the front at least 1.5 inches and the results have been very
positive. Exactly what I was hoping for. So far I'm very happy with the
improvement and it looks better too. Just thought I'd pass it along FYI..
