I purchased some of the non-turbo style E-lights a couple years ago,
thinking that I'd install them when I took the front of my 200q20v apart to
do the timing belt.

A while back, I got bumped in a motel parking lot in Salt Lake City,
resulting in loss of the passenger headlight (lens smashed, but bulb still
worked) and general mangling of the front bumper
assembly/fenders/grill/hood. The body shops want $$$$ to just straighten
the front out, so I pulled it back into general alignment with a
comealong/chain/good anchor. Anyway, I decided to try to put the E-light
in to fix the smashed headlight.

As I was told when I purchased it, the non-turbo headlight fits right into
the same anchoring spots the original did. It protrudes into part of the
grill area, but my grill is in need of some trimming anyway, so that
wouldn't be a problem.

However, the seller didn't tell me the sidelight would be significantly
different. It wraps around instead of just fitting against the outer edge
like the original. So I can't use original sidelights with the E-lights
because there's an inch or more gap and nothing to anchor the original
sidelights to.

So anyone looking to use the non-turbo E-lights should make sure they also
have the appropriate sidelights to go with them.

Anyone got a set of useable Type 44 non-turbo sidelights?
