The blue connector_is_ used for reading blink codes. The "not used"
statement, I believe, was intended to apply only to the VAG COM connectors.
Follow SJM's procedure--it works.
Better yet, hard-wire those connectors to a conveniently placed LED and a
momentary_ON switch. Avoid all that crawling around on your knees to see
the blink codes.
