I did the neck repair and have resealed it once already in
the last year.
The old-timers on this group advised me to replace it and not take a
chance.
They were right.
You just cant trust any radiator repairs when the radiator is
starting to rot out. I am afraid to take a road trip for fear of getting
stranded and always carry 2 gallons of pre-mixed coolant in the trunk.
And if the radiator really splits a seam the coolant wont do me a whole
hell of a lot of good.
When I get the cooling system done with a new radiator and all
the hoses replaced I will have a lot of peace of mind to take a road
trip anywhere.
I have AAA Plus with 100 mile towing and a new all metal
Nissens in the box in my garage. So for the past year I have been
driving a 100 mile radius car.
