front sway bar R&R - any tricks?

I think after several rounds of on-off procedures I found that putting
the front of the car up on jackstands, then using two small floor jacks
under each lower arm to raise/lower as needed made things worlds easier
for me. But this was a couple of years ago, and I could very well be
thinking of something else. Oh on antoher occasion, I also remember
unbolting the bar from the front subframe, bolting it up to the control
arms, then wrestling the bar back up into the subframe, and with all the
fasteners semi-tight I dropped the car to the ground and tightened
everything up with weight on it.

Give either of those a shot, beats trying to persuade the bar with all
the other ends bolted into (nearly)fixed position.
