With the cam sprocket timing mark right on, the flywheel mark should also
have been within +/- 0.1", easy to find with a little scraping and marking,
like rub a piece of chalk over the area to accent the scribe mark. The
spark plug trick will only get you within +/-10 degrees of TDC as you are on
the flat top of the sine function, not worth the effort if you have the TB
cover off.
