Rear End Clunk

All the type 44 cars that I have owned have had the clunk in the rear end
eventually. It has always been the bushings on the rear transverse link.
We just did my son's car a few months ago.
There is a bushing on each side of the transverse link and either the front
or rear bushing flange (can't remember which one now) becomes deformed and
allows the transverse link to contact the washer on the mounting bolt. It
seems like it has always been the right side transverse link for some
reason. You can just replace the bushings and the noise will go away.
