The pieces won't hurt anything if they made it to the oil pan, even if they
don't come out with the oil change, or if they have lodged in a crevice
within the cam area.  The worst that can/has happened is that a piece finds
its way under a cam lobe and stalls the cam, stripping the timing belt and
bending a few valves.  This case would likely occur immediately after the
breakup, and you are beyond that point, IMO.
