Climate air motor hoses.

Thanks to all of you, the repair part for the air motor bracket in my air conditioner box is on the way. But how will we be able to tell which of the two plugged vacuum hoses is which? Obviously, one of them was originally longer and that would have made it clear. Is there some condition we can set on the climate control that will guarantee a testable condition in one of the hoses?
