OK, now fuel pump replacement and specialty tools...

I've given some thought to the warm start problem in regards to it being a 
check valve / pressure related issue.

The Fuel Pump is very loud and noisy -- much worse than any Audi I have owned 
(2 4k's, a 4kq, an 80q and this 200q20v).  It's to the point where it even 
bothers me, and I have gotten quite accustomed to the Fuel Pump buzz on these 
cars.

So, I was thinking of replacing the pump -- it will take care of the noise 
issue, as well as the check valve issue (or eliminate that as a possibility).  
The question is, which pump to use?  Anyone have suggestions?  Ones to avoid?

Also, Do I need a special tool to take the old pump out?  Does Anyone have 
this tool?  Alternately, Does anyone anticipate needing this tool in the near 
future?  

The reason I ask, is that there seems to be a small, but loyal following on 
this list.  Every so often we run into a specialty tool that we may need once, 
or at most twice in the lifetime of our cars.  The fuel pump tool (if needed) 
is a perfect example.  The timing belt tools are another example.

It would seem to me that the best way to handle this situation is to have a 
small number of people buy these tools, and when it is needed by another 
lister, that lister buys the tool from the previous guy.  By buying from each other, 
the net cost for use of the tool is shipping only (a couple of dollars in 
this case) and the next guy down the line (there will always be a "next guy") 
then buys the tool from the previous user.  Make Sense?

"Renting" from a lister is just as valid an option.  I did this with the 
crank holding tool whereby I sent a check for the full amount of the tool to a 
lister, then got the check back when I returned the tool and the cost of 
shipping.  I threw in a couple of bucks for the lister's trouble, but it was well 
worth it.  He was covered.  I used the tool for cheap.  It was a good deal.

Any thoughts?  Volunteers?  Bueller?  Bueller?
