Welcome to the list. I am a relative new lister (2 years now) and have
enjoyed the information this list produces. When I was buying my 91 a
lister directed me to Chris Miller's website. He has a ton of information
from buying one of these vehicles to maintenance. If you are going to be
doing most of the maintenance, picking up a Bentley manual is strongly
suggested.

Good luck and hope your vehicle is as good as mine has been. One
suggestion, convert the car to European headlamps so you can see where you
are going. They are extremely poor in the dark. I have tried to put PIAA
Extreme White bulbs in with no changes. Actually, it got worse. I
converted to Euro's a few months ago, via Blau and their wiring harness with
80/100's, with great results. As you may know from your previous experience
with VW/Audi vehicles, headlamps are not up to the task. I too am familiar
with older VW/Audi cars and had to convert a couple of them to European
lamps.
