That's a very special gift. I hope she takes good care of it.
The radios in the Avants are less special than those in the sedans
because the Avants didn't get the Bose system. However, there are
some built-in amps at the spearkers that have to be considered.
I had pretty decent experience with an aftermarket head unit and an
adaptor wiring harness from Crutchfield. It's not a perfect pairing,
but it's not bad either. The original radio can be repaired is you're
so inclined as well.

PS. What color interior and exterior is the Avant?
