Paul,

Sorry to jump on this late (you're probably headed out of town already), 
but when I was ordering synthetic fluids for my 200q20v I actually found 
that the trans capacity was given at 3.4 qts (technically, it was 3.2L) 
for the torsen 016 transmission in our cars. I'm not sure why this is 
greater than the other 016 transmissions (I've never had them next to 
one another to compare). Higher level, or larger case volume?

But, if you haven't already, I'd recommend filling it to 3.4 qts.

If you have time, give the transmission a good wipe down to get all the 
old oil/road grime off. That may help determine if/where there's any leaks.

And just so it's in the archives associated with this topic...*always* 
remove the fill plug before the drain plug!! Nothing worse than finding 
you can't get the fill plug off when all your oil's sitting in a pan 
below the car :o)
